Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the recovery coaching process, privacy, travel, and what to expect when working with Alicia — wherever you are in the world.

Getting Started

A Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) is a trained professional who provides non-clinical, peer-based support to individuals navigating substance use disorder and the recovery process. Unlike therapists or counselors, a CRS draws on both professional training and lived experience to offer practical guidance, accountability, and encouragement.

Alicia Yang holds her CRS certification and brings over 25 years of personal experience in a 12-step program, giving her a uniquely authentic perspective that complements clinical treatment.

A therapist or licensed counselor provides clinical mental health treatment and can diagnose conditions. A recovery coach operates outside the clinical setting — focusing on day-to-day support, accountability, life skills, and navigating the practical challenges of early and ongoing recovery.

Recovery coaching is often used alongside clinical treatment, not as a replacement. Alicia works collaboratively with treatment teams when appropriate and with the client's consent.

Inspire Services is designed for individuals who are ready to commit to their recovery journey and want personalized, one-on-one support. Alicia works with a wide range of clients, including:

  • Individuals newly entering or returning to recovery
  • Those transitioning out of residential or inpatient treatment
  • High-profile individuals and public figures requiring absolute discretion
  • Families seeking support for a loved one
  • Anyone navigating co-occurring mental health challenges alongside substance use

The first step is a private, no-obligation consultation. This is a confidential conversation where you can share your situation, ask questions, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit. There is no pressure and no commitment required.

You can request a consultation through the contact form on the main page or by reaching out directly. All inquiries are handled with complete discretion.

The Process

Every client's journey is unique, and Alicia tailors her approach accordingly. Generally, engagements include regular one-on-one sessions (in person or remote), availability for check-ins between sessions, help navigating treatment options or community resources, and ongoing accountability support.

The frequency and format of sessions are determined collaboratively based on the client's needs, schedule, and goals.

Absolutely. Recovery coaching is most effective when it complements clinical care. With your explicit written consent, Alicia can coordinate with therapists, psychiatrists, treatment centers, or other members of your care team to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach.

Without your consent, no information is shared with anyone — including other providers.

There is no fixed timeline. Some clients benefit from intensive short-term support during a critical transition period, while others maintain an ongoing relationship for months or years. The duration is entirely driven by the client's needs and goals.

Alicia's aim is always to support clients in building the skills, connections, and confidence to thrive — not to create dependency on coaching.

Recovery coaching is generally not covered by health insurance, as it is a non-clinical service. However, some clients use health savings accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) to cover coaching fees. Please consult your plan administrator for details.

Alicia is happy to discuss fee structures and arrangements during your initial consultation.

Travel & Remote Support

Yes. Alicia is available to travel domestically and internationally to be present with clients wherever they are. Whether a client is at home, on location, traveling for work, or in a different country entirely, Alicia can arrange to be there in person to provide continuity of support.

She handles all logistics personally and discreetly, ensuring that travel arrangements never compromise a client's privacy or comfort. No situation is too complex or too remote — Alicia is committed to showing up wherever she is needed.

Alicia maintains a trusted network of practitioners — including therapists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and treatment specialists — across the United States and internationally. If a client requires clinical or medical support while away from home, Alicia can facilitate connections with vetted professionals in that location.

She acts as a knowledgeable and discreet liaison, coordinating care on the client's behalf so they never feel alone or without resources, regardless of where they are in the world.

Yes. Alicia works with clients both in person and remotely via secure, private video or phone sessions. Remote sessions are available to clients anywhere in the world and are a preferred option for many high-profile clients who value an additional layer of privacy or who travel frequently.

Remote support can be provided as a standalone arrangement or as a complement to in-person sessions — whatever best serves the client's needs and schedule.

Absolutely. While Alicia is based in the Los Angeles area, she works with clients throughout the United States and internationally. Remote sessions make geography a non-issue, and for clients who prefer in-person support, Alicia is available to travel to any location.

Distance is never a barrier to receiving the support you need.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Privacy is the foundation of Inspire Services. Alicia will never disclose, discuss, or acknowledge the identity of any client to any third party without explicit written consent. This applies to all communications, all records, and all interactions.

For high-profile clients and public figures, Alicia takes additional precautions to protect not only the client's identity but also the privacy of their family members and loved ones from media attention or outside interference.

Yes — one important exception exists by law. Alicia Yang is a mandated reporter under the laws of the State of California. This means she is legally required to report any known or reasonably suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect, and elder or dependent adult abuse, to the appropriate authorities.

This obligation exists regardless of any confidentiality agreement and is required by California law. Outside of these specific legal obligations, all client communications and information remain fully protected and confidential.

Alicia deeply understands the unique pressures faced by public figures, entertainers, executives, and prominent families. Her background in the entertainment industry gives her firsthand insight into the world her clients navigate.

Every aspect of the engagement — from initial contact to session logistics — is handled with protocols designed to protect your public identity and shield your family from unwanted attention. Alicia takes this responsibility seriously and personally.

Protecting What Matters Most

Alicia deeply understands that for many of her clients, privacy is not simply a preference — it is a necessity. High-profile individuals, public figures, and prominent families carry the added weight of public scrutiny, and the decision to seek support for substance use or mental health should never put their reputation, their family's privacy, or their standing at risk.

Inspire Services is built on an unwavering commitment to protecting each client's public identity and shielding their loved ones from media attention or outside interference. Every engagement is handled with the utmost discretion — from the first inquiry to the final session.

All client information is held in the strictest confidence. Alicia will never disclose, discuss, or acknowledge the identity of any client to any third party without explicit written consent.
